Are You Struggling with Fatigue and Sleepless Nights?

There are many issues facing men and women in the middle years of life. These symptoms are so prevalent that there is a medical term for this condition for both men and women. In men it is called andropause and in women it is called menopause.

Menopause and Menstrual Hormone Imbalances

Millions of women are suffering from hormone imbalance and menopause. Symptoms include physical and emotional changes such as:

Hot flashes             Trouble sleeping
Night sweats                 Vaginal dryness
Weight gain            Loss of sex drive
Mood swings                 Urinary incontinence
Anxiety and Depression     Fatigue Pains and headaches
                                                              Low thyroid symptoms

Andropause and Male Hormone Imbalances

Andropause, the male menopause, is about aging, and declining hormones go with the territory. Symptoms manifest themselves in a number of ways including physical and emotional changes. These changes include, but are not limited to:

Loss of energy       Loss of mental focus
Loss of muscle mass            Anxiety and depression
Sleep disturbances       Erectile dysfunction
Increase in body fat            Loss of sex drive
Fatigue           Prostate problems

Symptoms of menopause and andropause are also connected to your stress levels, nutrition, lack of exercise and the environmental toxins your body is exposed to on a daily basis.

Thyroid and Adrenal Disorders

Thyroid and adrenal glands disorders are very common but they are often overlooked. Common symptoms of these disorders are fatigue, insomnia, aches and pains, cold intolerance, allergies, weight gain, especially in the waist, and a host of other symptoms that are often attributed to stress or simply getting older.

Conasauga Wellness Hormone Management Center offers a physician-supervised program that uses only bio-identical hormones integrated with nutrition and fitness. We provide natural treatment and encourage lifestyle changes that help men and women suffering from hormone imbalances return to an active, vibrant life.

What are bio-identical hormones?

The ovaries, testicles and the adrenal glands manufacture a series of hormones all derived from cholesterol. These are called the steroid hormones. Since the early 1960s, chemists have been able to synthesize all of these molecules starting either from cholesterol or from plant steroids found in wild yam and soy. Since the manufactured molecules are exact duplicates of the hormones made by the various glands in the body, they are called bio-identical.

How do I know what hormones I need?

Conasauga Wellness uses Salivary Testing to determine your hormone levels.  In the past 20-30 years a number of studies have validated saliva testing as a viable means to measure the steroid hormones in the bloodstream. Steroids are very small fat–loving molecules that, when released from the binding proteins and red blood cells in the blood, freely moves into tissues, including salivary glands and saliva. Saliva then provides accurate measurements of the usable steroid hormones that have moved out of the bloodstream and into the tissues.  Compared to blood levels, many hormones can be measured in saliva that closely match symptoms to allow more effective treatment.
